On occasion, a player’s parent or guardian may be unable to attend a Calgary Basketball Academy (CBA) event and may choose to arrange for a volunteer chaperone to supervise their child.
All chaperone arrangements are made independently between the parent/guardian and the individual acting as chaperone. Calgary Basketball Academy does not organize, coordinate, supervise, or endorse chaperone arrangements and does not participate in chaperone activities.
Any individual, including CBA coaches, who agrees to act as a chaperone does so in a personal capacity only and not as a representative of Calgary Basketball Academy. Such arrangements are private agreements between the parent/guardian and the chaperone, and CBA is not a party to, nor affiliated with, these agreements.
CBA is not responsible for, and does not assume liability for, any activities conducted under a chaperone arrangement. This includes, but is not limited to, activities occurring outside of scheduled games and practices, such as team meals, team building activities, travel, field trips, social events, or team gatherings.
Parents/guardians remain fully responsible for their child at all times and are responsible for ensuring they are comfortable with any chaperone arrangement they choose to make.
